In Damascus 2013, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. My journey then took me to the United States, where I improved my English and volunteered with The National Multiple Sclerosis Society in West Palm Beach, Florida. After returning to Damascus, I immersed myself in various pharmacy roles to gain a broad practical understanding of the field, working as a pharmaceutical representative at Diamond Pharma, an auditor at Medosa medical insurance company, and as a community pharmacist.
In November 2015, I relocated to Berlin and later earned my Master of Science in Pharmacy from Saarland University in 2017. I completed my PhD in 2023 at the Institute for Bioorganic Chemistry, where I worked as a teachinf and a research fellow while leading the Pharmasophy Unit. Throughout my academic career, I have published extensively and presented my research at numerous international conferences.
My work is driven by a deep interest in the intersection of science, ethics, and society. I am particularly passionate about exploring how pharmaceutical practices can evolve to be more sustainable and socially responsible. My diverse background and global experiences have shaped my perspective, allowing me to approach pharmacy not only as a science but also as a crucial contributor to the well-being of communities worldwide.
My research interest spans from applied hardcore chemistry to more abstract notions, namely, Philosophy of Science and History of Science. For more information please click below.
